Reflection Letter:
Hi! Peter is here. A person who is still and always looking for knowledge and experience in architecture and construction. As writing this, I am a 6th semester architecture student of Sriwijaya University. Such a lucky chance for me to be a part of Realrich Architecture Workshop as an intern. I still dont believe that i can learn about architecture with one of the best and famous architect in Indonesia.
Firstly, being an architect was not one of my dream last time. But since I jump into this thing, I think I fall in love with architecture and construction. Last time I thought that architecture was very simple, but now I know architecture is not as simple as I thought before. My first year in architecture didn’t go so smooth, that was because of my ability in manual drawing. But it is not a big problem for me anymore, I try to improve my skill in architecture by learning architecture software, so i can implement my concept there.
Time flies so fast, it’s been 3 months. I have gotten a lot of knowledges, experiences, tasks, and family here. As an intern here, I feel that i am treated and prepared as a real designer. here, i am trusted to do some design task. I’m not sure i can get this chance in another place. RAW has changed my mind about architecture. RAW has told me that every design has its own detail which must be able to applicate on site. RAW shows me the real condition of how architecture works. RAW shows me that it’s not about the client’s ego or architect’s ego, but it’s about the compromise between architect, client, and environment.
Besides that, I feel grateful to Kak Rich, Kak Yudith, and all the mentors who have accepted, treated, and taught me nicely. Thank you so much for this adorable experience and unforgettable moment in my life. Wishing you all the best everywhere you go. God Bless You
