Azyra Setiawan – Get to Know Your Self

I would like to start off by saying… life’s tough. Having been brought up in a household where tough love is greatly encouraged and having to deal with its consequences, it’s appropriate to say that life has indeed been one big rollercoaster of emotions. That being said, my name’s azyra and i was born in a city located on the southwest coast of the sulawesi island also famously known as makassar… i was also raised by two parents who are quite the polar opposite… but then again, let’s stick to the basis. my father works corporate job, my mother on the other hand, is a stay at home mom. i’m the youngest out of two children. how has it affected me ? believe me, it’s quite the challenge. Growing up, i would often find myself gravitating towards the world of architecture. As a child i remember taking all the real estate brochures i could find so that i could stare at them. To say the least, it is something that i have always been interested in. Getting older it seems as though the love has gradually increased… so much so that a few months ago i decided to turn down an offer to study at one of the most prestigious university in the country. The reason being? well, i wanted to major in something different and that is architecture. Furthermore, In relation to finding the purpose of life, i’ve always known at heart that it is within my best interest to live one that’s full of compassion, which i’m hoping to be able to achieve through being an architect. To wrap it all up, no i don’t reckon i have a favorite song nor do i have any stories i’m excited to share.
