Reflection Letter:
Hi, I’m Vita, a recent architecture graduate from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), and this is a short reflection on my three-month internship journey at Realrich Architecture Workshop.
I decided to take this internship as a step to gain more experience in the architectural field and to better prepare myself for what lies ahead. At the time, I thought I would mainly learn about how projects are done, drawings, renderings, and all the technical aspects that come with it.
But along the way, I realized it was much more than that.
During my time here, I didn’t just learn about technical skills. I learned about the responsibility of how every small decision matters, and how each drawing carries intention. I learned about communication and teamwork, about listening to different perspectives, and understanding how ideas evolve through discussion. I also learned by observing how people think, how they approach problems, and how leadership is practiced in real situations, not just in theory.
One of the most meaningful parts of this journey was the people. I met so many great individuals who not only supported me but also broadened my perspective in ways I didn’t expect. Each conversation, each collaboration, somehow shaped how I see architecture — and even how I see myself.
Looking back, this experience has been more than just an internship. It has been a space to grow, to reflect, and to challenge myself. And now, as I move forward, I realize that I’ve changed, not only in how I work, but also in how I think and carry myself.
Now, I can genuinely say that I’ve grown, both professionally and personally. Thank you for the lessons, the memories, and the growth 🩶
