Mia Rahma Gita – Sriwijaya University

Dear RAW, I am writing to exrpress my desire for intern program. I am mia rahma gita, mostly people call me mia. I come from Universitas Sriwijaya and doing as a student of architecture department. I was very thankful to get the opportunity to spend my university life as a architecture learner. I have decided to apply this programme because I am sure that drawing, building, and get in touch in social relation is the thing of my life that I want to spend with. So, this programme related with that and would strongly support my career in the future. Another reason is I live with family that love art so much, I’m so in love when my dad drew a plan for our new bathroom and he told me that is actually architect’s work.

After graduated from high school I was directly choose Universitas Sriwijaya that closer with my region for the next step of my education. Before that, I spend my childhood living in Bengkulu, a small town in sumatera. Bengkulu is the town with slow development of construction or public facilities. Then, I get consider that I must be the pioneer to change it or at least be the one for moving it forward.

Not just study in the class, i have joined many organization in faculty or my study program degree. Not only want to get lots experience, but tend to fulfill my day with positive activities. So I had trough many leadership, creativity, social activities and teamwork training that otomatically make myself trained with that.

The important thing for reach my future, I have to pass all of my semester in sriwijaya university well, which is all of my subject must be fullfiled. For me architecture is unique. When we learn it, we can be anyone that we want, imagine what the thing that we never imagine before like an artist, get in detail to think of life an viability of people like engineer, care with our environment same as minister of environment, and overly think about human space for better life. There’s no job like architect. And one of those subject, there is intern program. Of course I will choose the best place for my intern program to forming and enrich myself to know how to be an architect for real.

I had looked at many website of architecture consultant and when I see RAW website I am very excited. Nature and truthful material being the main focus but with the unusual way, Many project that caring the environment and also people around that very suitable with my passion, and impression which proven by many award, make me believe RAW must be my big teacher for my big step.

So, I hope I can be a part of RAW. I am kind of person that full of spirit and push my self to give the best output for something, quick learner, and cool-headed person that make me easier to work as a team. I will take commitment when through the intern program and never waste the opportunity.
