Dear RAW Architecture,

My name is Miftahurrahma Ridwan, usually called by name Mifta as an architecture student in Architecture Engineering at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta who is so pleased to submit an internship application in architecture division at RAW Architecture. Through this letter I would like to express my interest to work as an intern in your firm.

I love to draw since I was in Junior High School, especially views, houses, buildings even pictures of people. Not just drawing, since I was in Junior High School, I do always have interest in aesthetics things. It might be related into photography, design graphic or even in fashion world. My knowledge about architecture has begun when accidentally searching about Japan and it turns out into The Church of Lights by Tadao Ando. I just amazed and love the way Tadao Ando uses light as a component of his design and make a
whole room has different feeling.

Now, when I am studying architecture, my knowledge and my mindset have been improving. For me, architecture is not only about science or is not only about art but it is a collaboration among science and art which leads to problem solving of some cases. In making design in Architecture, we are not only talk about the design, but also in the structures, the system inside, everything that connected in building and
even how to respond human behavior and put it with other physical aspects to form as one whole building and that is what I found interesting about architecture.

For the past two years, I realize that I need to learn more about architecture in structure and construction, the aesthetics and even the psychological aspect of the user. Because of that, I think it is not enough to just rely on the formal education as a I get for past two years. I think I need to learn more on informal education and it leads me to intern with the best firm, RAW Architecture.

I became really more interested by visiting RAW’s website by seeing some of the projects, and I believe RAW Architecture is the best firm to fulfill my curiosity and thirsty for knowledge and I hope in RAW I can learn more about how to make a good design, how to design in the right way, how to solve the design problem, how to make the details, how to communicate with design, how to enjoy the design process, how to work with a team and many more.

I really anticipated sharing and discuss with Mr. Realrich, senior, architect, designer, or creative people about architecture. Knowing their opinion about building and landscape from any terms it is such a good way to open my mind and widen my views about how to see architecture world.

It would be such as great experiences to spend two months for my internship at RAW Architecture. I will be the best version of me and I will keep learning and open my mind to learn about new things. Moreover, I am confident that my experience in RAW Architecture, would be exciting, fun, and valuable for both my studies and overall general development as a better future architect.
