Our work, Kampoong Guha is featured in @archdaily curated by @miwanegoro. We are honoured to be featured in Archdaily. It’s a huge effort by all of our the team involved over these continuous years, refining the craft through numerous iterations and hard work by everybody.

Kampoong Guha is a mixed-use project that brings together @omahlibrary, architectural studio @realricharchitectureworkshop, home education classrooms @rumaharsitekturindonesia, co-living spaces @dot_workshop, and a residence @guhatheguild, blending formal and informal neighborhoods in Meruya, Tangerang. Designed as an adaptive, evolving structure, the project seamlessly merges traditional and industrial materials with passive cooling, ensuring indoor temperatures remain below 30°C inspired by Kampoong. Over 200 doors, stacked combinations of hybrid materials, and layered gardens create a flexible spatial experience serving both as a learning hub and a prototype for compact tropical living. Together they form a way towards bioclimatic architecture in Jakarta.

To reduce temperature, we tested various passive strategies by using shading, cross ventilation, and air-stacking effects, all integrated into a cohesive system that blends built form with greenery. To create bioclimatic architecture involves deep collaboration and ongoing testing post-construction. But each challenge helps us reflect and grow better for the next journey.
