A vision for Moving to the sky
The idea is to preserve earth by raising four houses to the sky and creates residential named sky residence, a place for people to live, celebrate, and play in the sky. The brief itself is to design four houses in any configuration, having as its only restriction that they should not exceed 162 square meter and that each possess a garage and garden, combined in the given 9 square meter outlines. This strategy deals with an idea from minimizing building footprint on the ground to maximize garden space by using only 7.46 % from the overall area in total. By raising four houses to the sky, it also introduces the opportunity to create public garden at the ground to contribute green space in the city. The building’s strategy for renewal involved the creation of a new network of pedestrian routes to make this stretch of the sky residence accessible to the public and it is including creating promenade at the edge of the site, and providing linkages of four houses with neighborhood. Programs to generate activity and increasing public facility like café, street art gallery, and bus stop are added in 3.5 meter promenade. The effect has been to make this stretch of the sky residence’s ground to be accessible to the public and to create connections to neighboring streets, where a new art and café culture will be evolved. It is more than a single building – it is a catalyst for urban regeneration.
Sky residence is supported by a central core; Penetration of daylight right into the heart of the development has been a major influence on the configuration of the scheme. Daylight levels in public space have also been considered in order to minimize the impact of the tower upon it’s surrounding, it is shadowed by units’ configuration and screen system to create large sustainable garden with water wall, medium trees, and benches. The garden it self will be divided into two locations. First, the garden for public will be placed on ground floor. Second, private garden will be placed on roof top. Soil that is used on garden is also optimized for water collector. The pattern that generates Garden is designed based on the public connection to connect 3 nodes at the edge of the side such as art gallery, bus stop, and outdoor cafe. Car parks are placed at back side of site, and frontage of site is designed as urban sculptural form in love of harmony and respect for nature. The form is based on the metaphor of the tree’s roots that is seen from the ground but its shape also creates resemblance with existing and new building.
Each of unit consist 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room, and private garden. Lifts and Staircases are used for vertical transportation. In plan, the building forms interlocking shapes of equal length. While the public area – run below the sky residence. The sky residence is oriented to respond to the viewing angle, maximum sun and wind energy and quality of light and shade, water and green spaces found in the city. all of which share spectacular views of the river and will provide high standard private housing in the area.
The living residence looks out onto shady trees and gently curving asymmetrical pools. Fresh air is cooled as it passes over openings and is drawn into the living space, minimizing the need for mechanical air conditioning. Similarly, reflected sunlight is balanced by shading from outer skin. The light in some places entering gently in others forming fine piercing rays. The skin is treated with a wind turbine which is a rotating machine which converts the kinetic energy in wind into mechanical energy. It helps to harness the power of the wind. The prevailing breeze is funneled into the path of the turbines, helping to create power generation efficiency. The turbine is 1 meter in module and reacts as first layer of double skin facade. The second layer of the façade is high performance glass which can reduce daylight radiation.
The top of the tower is roof terraces at roof top will be green spaces, introducing planting and trees to the precinct area, irrigated naturally via a rainwater harvesting system combined with configuration of photovoltaic system. As, living space, sky residence places a high value on the concept of a healthy living space – a factor that it believes will become increasingly important to its residence in the future. Indeed, sky residence’s experience with the green building process may herald the more widespread construction of environmentally sensitive buildings in the city. Steel is used for structural construction flexibility because of its classification as high sustainable material that can be recycled. Materials will also be fabricated in module, by doing that construction cost can be optimized in time and budget. The new building is also distinctive in environmental terms. It is constructed using recycled steel and designed to consume less energy than its conventional neighbors. As a result, it is expected to be the building in the city to be given a gold rating for its sustainability.
Design Strategy
Brief
The brief itself is to design four houses in any configuration, having as its only restriction that they should not exceed 162 square meter and that each possess a garage and garden, combined in the given 9 square meter outlines
Moving to the Sky
4 units are moved to the sky to preserve earth from building.
Maximizing garden and minimizing building foot print
Lifts and Staircases are used for vertical transportation. This strategy deals with an idea from minimizing building footprint on the ground to maximize garden.
Connecting public nodes
Landscape is designed to consider linkages between nodes. This will create garden to be accessible by public as its function to keep love and harmony between building and neighborhood.
Landscape is designed to consider linkages between nodes. This will create garden to be accessible by public as its function to keep love and harmony between building and neighborhood.
Public Promenade
Public promenade will be placed at edge of the site, to correspond with neighborhoods. 3 Functions such as bus stop, cafe, art gallery are added to generate public activity while car parks is placed at the back of the building.
Private garden on the roof and Public Garden on the ground
The condition is set for creating sustainable environment to create idela. Each residence of the building has a private garden on the roof top. It creates luxury experience while public garden is treated to maximize green space on the ground.
Gathering energy from Photovoltaic and Wind Turbine
this scheme comes up with an idea to gather energy from photovoltaic and wind turbine. Photovoltaic is place on the roof top and wind turbine react as building skin as the wind pass through the opening and transfer kinetic energy to electricity.
Light and Modular Structure
Steel structure is used for construction flexibility and its classification as high sustainable material that can be recycled. Material will be fabricated in module, by doing that construction cost can be optimized in time and budget.

rich ternyata pindah kesini!!! wawawawaw :) terus menulis karena tulisan akan abadi :)
Hi, interesting post. I have been pondering this issue,so thanks for writing. I will likely be coming back to your blog. Keep up the good work
