shortlisted nomination – National Library Open Competition

DOT is in Shortlisted nomination of National library competition.  The scheme offers a respond to national monument to the heart of the building. The zoning is distributed vertically where one stop shopping is placed on the 3^rd floor. The Bulkiness of the massing is solved by splitting it into two thin slabs where sunlight comes into the inner courtyard in between. The discussion table has each view to the national museum which creates splendid experience for the meeting room. These approach composed a breathing building, a library which offers unique, creative function inside and monumental icon which based on function and historical context. Congratulation to the other team, our collegues who has won this competitions.
