Dimas Hedito Rahardian – Universitas Gadjah Mada

Hello my name is Dimas Hedito Rahardian I’m from Semarang. I am currently in the third year majoring architecture at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. I’ve born with blood type A which is people say that I’m a perfectionist, easy going, creative, good listener, light hand, funny and procrastinator. Most of that is true I think. Especially perfectionist. I could waste much of my time to reach the perfection. For example is adding some details to my design. sometimes perfectionist becomes a boomerang to me. It can make the other project can’t be done, because I’m focused on one project.Blood type a also says, I’m a good listener and funny. It’s true. Some people around me says that I can make them from having a bad mood into a good mood. They’re like to share their problems with me. Maybe because of they already know that tell bad stories to me will be turned into a joke in the end, and they forget about the problems. I think it’s one of my hobbies to make people laugh. Tell a cheesy joke to my friends and they’re laugh make me happy inside.

Okay, let’s talk about architecture. First of all, I would like to tell you why I chose architecture major. I chose this major is not because of my childhood dream like most of the people. When I was junior high school, I saw tv’s program about how to make a garden in house backyard. I wondering that I can do that stuff into my house like, there ‘s so many vegetation, mini pool, children playground, etc. Maybe because of my home didn’t have something like that, even have a big backyard to make it. The other is I like photography. Searching a photogenic cafe, restaurant, art gallery, museum that have a good interior and exterior, then took a photo is one of my hobbies. From that I promise to my self, I will be an architect someday. In the way to archive that dream, I need to prepare and learn so many things about architecture. Then I studied at UGM and choose architecture major.

As time goes by, I learn so many things about architecture. From structure, composition, make a concept, 3d drawings, etc. It’s made me more interested in design and architecture. Internship is one of my course in the campus. It’s a big chance to me to learn about architecture in the real architecture firm. And then I choose RAW architect.I know RAW architect from my senior that doing an internship at RAW too. He’s told me that RAW is a nice place if I want to learn about architecture. Sharing with senior and maybe with mr. Realrich. I like to discuss with architect, designer, creative people about architecture from the other perspective. Know their opinion about building and landscape from any terms. Then if I think that is true and good, it will be my reference to my next project.In this internship, I will try to do the best I can and I will keep learning. I will open my mind to learn about so many things. I will not give up on every project and I will keep my spirit until the end of this internship.
