Rainandi Pambayu – Universitas Sriwijaya

Reflection Letter:

Hi, my name is Rainandi Pambayu, but you can call me Rei. I’m a third year undergraduate studying Architecture at Sriwijaya University. I applied my portfolio here already knowing that I had interest in bioclimatic architecture and all those honest material that RAW Architecture brought to their design. Luckily I got the chance to be part of RAW Architecture as an internship student, the place that I love, the place that I’ve been dreaming of, and over the course of my internship time I realized that I have grown and learned more than I thought possible.

Here in The Guha I have learned so many many things in short amount of time, such a beautiful place to study new things and a beautiful experience to remember. And of course the people, they were all super-kind-welcoming person yet so professional at their work. My mentors in Benteng taught me about developing the design properly with a lot of exercises and discussions. They also taught me how to present the design with good communication. My mentors in Bamboo taught me how to be precise, accurate, and critical. And also Kak Rich, he taught me how to be a very cool architect in white, all of his work, attitude, and motivational words will forever be my favorite.

When I started studying architecture I used to pay attention only for the visual, however I quickly found out that architecture was so much more than that, it’s RAW Architecture that pushed me to the next level of understanding it. Thank you Kak Rich for giving me this opportunity, thanks to all my mentors for giving me priceless lessons, thanks to my new friends that I met here I love you guys so much especially Taro The Hamster ewh, thanks to everyone inside The Guha and Omah for the memory. Lastly thanks to my new RAW Architecture family for reading this, I hope you guys get what you looking for in life, see ya on top!
